The Webmaster Zone

Changed the oil last weekend, that was fun, trying to get the spin-on filter off the adapter. I simply cannot get the transmission drain plug out, so I will have to get OMG to loosen it for me (rather than round it off which I was close to doing), and I have to get another litre of Hypoid gear lube for the differential. Found the transmission filler easy enough, its under the rubber plug behind the speaker... didn't have any of the infamous trouble getting it out, maybe my fingers are small or something. I bought a trolley jack and let me say this, if you don't have one, get one. They are great. Fiddled with the handbrake cable for a while but its stretched and seized (cable doesn't return when you release the handbrake) so I guess its up for a replacement. Got a good look at the underside crawling around under the car, its not too bad but one of the sills has some serious damage I didn't see before. I want to get the car undercoated as soon as possible... still need to check the brake pads/shoes. Safety Fast! I'm off to England tomorrow, see you in July...
