I find it bothersome having the car decide when to lock the doors. What do you do about it? Thanks

I have an 2007 NC, and do not experience this issue. I have no idea what your issue is, but it may be in the remote key fob.
On the other hand, my trunk lock only works with the under-dash button and occasionally with the remote, not the button on the trunk lid.

If you don't have the "Credit-card" type of key, then you can't understand. My car locks automatically if I step approx. 3 feet away with the key with me. It's some "genius" system the engineers designed in but it's a pain. If the car is not running but I've just cleaned the interior and I close the door to walk into the garage for something with the key in my pocket, CLICK, the car is now locked. Happens every time.
