HI folks....I'm over from the MGB forums and have a questions about seat belts in your cars. I picked up a pair of '94 Miata seats and installed them our '77 MGB and love them. Only problem I have is with the MGB seat belts, once done with using them they just fall on the floor, there is no way that I can see to keep them up on the seat and not falling on the floor......its a pain to have to dig around for them and then try and get them straightened out and on. What do you folks use to keep them up and handy/available rather than on the floor? Thanks, Jim

Jim and Kathy:
Both my 2000 and 2001 NB models have retractable seatbelt winders.
There is a small slot/clip at shoulder level on the Miata that you can slip the tongue of the seat belt clip into.
This makes it a little easier to find the loose end and then fasten the seatbelt.
I would think it would involve a huge amount of engineering to do something "retractable" in your MG.

The MGB's also have auto retract seatbelts. The are mounted on the wheel arches and come over the shoulder like normal. We can buy a handy little device that fits over the headrest shaft to hold the belts from falling on the floor, I was hoping there is something similar in the Miata world. Jim
