Larry,
I just double checked the instructions on the Dealer Alt site and step 22 says
to wrap the oil line with insulation. It also says later on, to wrap the 3.0
inch fiber hose to protect the bodywork but that is step 45.
I also wrapped the heater hose.

Huh??? My instructions had nothing about wrapping the oil feed line
with insulation. It did have you place a piece of hose on it to act as
a shield so it wouldn't scrape on the chassis.
The insulation wrapped the heater hoses.

Well my directions from Bell for my 1.6 Stage IV make no mention of
insulating the oil feed line. A recommendation though, I tried using
the insulation that came with the kit and I could not get it the way I
liked it. I will have to redo the heater hoses in the future but I got
some heat sleeves from a local supplier and slipped them over the
coolant hoses to the turbo. If I had it to do over again I would have
bought some for the oil line and the heater lines too.
Well in the future I guess. :)

Craig,
I only wrapped the top 2 to 3 inches of my coolant lines and the large (1
inche dia.) oil drain pipe (the ones going into the turbo itself). There
wasn't very much insulation blanket in my kit anyway.
I've now purchased some extra wrap specifically designed for insulating
pipes etc near heat sources such as turbos. It comes as 3 foot long sheet
with Velcro down the sides, you just cut to length then wrap it around the
pipes, looks a lot neater and I've been able to cover the upper 6 inches of
those lines and the brake lines.
I got mine from Demon Tweeks in the UK, but I'm sure something similar must
be available in the US.
BTW I had my doubts about the Velcro but it hasn't melted yet!
Steve.
Recently fitted BEGI IV.2 @ 10 psi. In England.
