Wow, what rat dogs at Valvoline! I hope they come to their senses...there
was nothing anywhere that even said members only or whatever.

Heck, I'll return it.

That's a bunch of BS. My bet is they won't risk dealing with 10's of
thousands of fraud cases - they will probably be forced to honor the rebates
to those of us that have the printed vouchers. I am gonna wait in the wings
for now...

I thought its a 'rebate game' and companies do *not* have to pay anything if
they chose not too.

I don't think so. The game is this. They hope people will buy the product=
because of the rebate, there by increasing sales, and then a certain perce=
ntage of them don't bother to fill in the rebate or do it wrong. This equa=
ls increased profits for the company even with the rebate.

Ever notice how complex some rebates are to comply with??? This is to allo=
w them to disallow the rebate if you don't follow the directions. This Vav=
oline rebate was set up that way.

But I think if they offered a rebate and people comply with the terms they =
are obligated to honor it.

I agree, found this after I sent my reply. And you are correct, they have
to comply....provided you still have proof of purchase and receipt...usually
people send them in w/o making copies. Also, sometimes the rebate company
can 'lose' your info...this is when copies help the most.

A good read.
