Guru's, I need some help.
In the spirit of planning, I'm thinking of switching my Greddy turbo to something better this winter and am just researching a little. I've come up with a T25, 60 compressor trim and .48A/R turbine housing. I can get this for about $500 by exchanging with the Mitsu turbo. Is this a good deal? I'm after something like 200-210 crank hp (160-170 rwhp) out of my 1.6 with good spoolup characteristics and I guess I can live with a slight torque drop off at the top end if it spools well.
I'll be using my Greddy exh. manifold and will likely make a secondary coolant circuit for the water part (since the turbo is higher than any other part of the cooling system: a pump, transmission cooler and temp probe will work I think). I'll also be upgrading the puny Greddy downpipe at the same time.
Any opinions or comments are welcome!

I do not know about the turbo sizing, but you should not need a secondary
system for cooling the turbo.
Those small lines should purge themselves of air even though they are up
high. The heater lines go up higher than the radiator cap and they purge. In
the worst case all you would have to do is place a small T-fitting in the
line. You should also use metal tubing near the exhaust manifold.

Good point, but what about when I shut the engine off and heat builds up, won't it boil and thus create a lot of gas? Into which line do I insert the turbo? i'm guessing the small one that comes out the the thermo housing and goes to the right and then down to the water pump.

You are correct, you will get boiling and steam when you shut down the
engine. You would have the same effect even if your turbo were mounted down
lower because of metal to metal conduction. After the engine cools down, the
steam will condense back into water and get rid of the bubble.
As some one else pointed out to me, a secondary pump may be overkill. I am
toying with the idea of hooking up a second thermo-switch and a small
secondary battery to work the drivers side fan when the car is shut off. Of
course a hole in the hood/bonnet would help too.
You are correct about which coolant lines to use.
