If you're within a few hours drive of the South East end of the earth (Key
West), I highly recommend this event:

Sunday, February 21st is the Serpentine race at Loop Road. This is sort of
the baby Bay Bottom Crawl - the course is slightly shorter, and doesn't get
quite the top speed of the Crawl, but it's on the same Loop road course.
Due to the lower speeds, I don't think they require rollbars for Serpentine.

Basically, full throttle for a short straight (maybe 1/4 mile) at the end
of which, you go into some kind of slalom, then out for another 1/4 mile of
power and brake, and another slalom - repeat about 8 times per run. This
is one autocross style event where the man with the most power, and best
brakes, has a BIG advantage.

For a long rambling webpage or two about the Bay Bottom Crawl, see my website:

Andy (Andrea) Hess 305-872-0430 will be more than happy to chat with you
about the details, send you a flyer, or whatever. I think the cost is
around $25, and we should get a minimum of 3 runs each.

Hope to see some of you there,

M

Finally an event in my neck of the woods. (I live in Ft. Lauderdale) I don't
mind the drive at all.
