All,

My point is exactly what most have been saying. There are those that =
like NA and those that like FI. I have no additional lag in my car. =
None. The throttle response is better than it was NA. It was mostly =
stock NA. The boost comes on at 1500 and is at full pressure by 2500 to =
3000. I have to TRY to keep it out of boost. The slightest pressure on =
the throttle off of idle will swing the needle to the plus side. That is =
what the Aerodyne is all about. I drove Skip's FMII the other day =
(sedately) and there was no perceived lag with his car. It was just as =
responsive off boost as my car was NA. And believe me, there is a lot =
more power there than I have. Like someone said when I first started =
this adventure and I was talking about full boost at 6 psi, they said =
"what boost" :-).
I just want to slay the dragon that the throttle response of the turbo =
car is crappy off of boost. It is not. If you like the NA set up, more =
power to you (or to me as the case may be :-). NA, FI, SC, whatever. As =
long as the owner/driver is happy and smiling, then that is what it is =
all about. I just happen to love what the turbo does for the car. And =
yes, power corrupts. I am already on my way to the next level. The fun =
is that I have 3 or 4 more levels of boost to look forward to and I am =
doing it cheaper than just plopping down the bucks for the big boost =
right away. I like the road less traveled.

Question for the group. In Corky's book, he shows the Pierburg pump =
mounted inside of a loop of rubber and then hung from the frame. Most of =
the instructions that I have seen call for the pump to be hung from the =
fuel filter. Does anyone have an opinion (here I go asking for it =
again!) about what is the best method for the quietest operation?

Jess
