Self Powered Turbo (Turbinique)
Run an air line from the pressure side of the turbo to the ex manifold, run
the idle rich.
Or. Install a stutter box and up the idle speed.
These first two may need a spark plug to fire the exhaust manifold.
Now this should do it. Run an air line from the pressure side of the turbo
to the exhaust manifold. Install a cold start injector from a small car in
the line close to the exhaust manifold. Have a spark plug in the plenum
below the turbo. This turns the turbo into a self powered gas turbine. The
turbo can be way oversized and still give low end because it's boosting when
the engine stalls!
Something similar has been tried or thought up in the '60s!
I really don't expect anyone to consider this post serious.

Isn't this what we were talking about around a year ago as an 'anti-lag'

Except maybe McDonald Douglas.
How about running a 6" pipe off the back of the thing for some true jet
power?

Hi Beau,
Yes, but they weren't the first. All sorts of things have come around. Do
you remember the company Turbinique from the '60s? They sold gas turbine
powered centrifical blowers. I drooled over them in high school.
Tom, there ain't nothin' new, Graham

Sorry, can't say I remember any of the 60's, I was born in
the mid 70's ;-) Not claiming it was anything innovative, just
wanted to mention we've discussed the idea before and there
are people out there doing this. - Beau
