How can I identify a snowhite virus on my disk (and as yet unopened). If
the list distributed it I would like to delete it as I really don't need
any land mines lying around on the hard disk that runs my life.

the ones lately have been coming in with the file name midgets.scr. The
problem is that the virus can come in under any name, according to
symantec.com. The actual name of the virus is something like
W32/Hybris/gen. USe a virus checker that is CURRENT, and it should pick it
up. Or follow the instructions on www.symantec.com after looking up Hybris.
