Easy question for the lists -

What's the appropriate way to lube the slider pins on the Miata disc brakes,
front and back?

I ask because after I disassemble the calipers to lube the pins, when I
reassemble it seems that the pins have the lube pushed off by the rubber
accordion gaskets and none of the lube actually stays on the pin. How does
one ensure the lube doesn't get pushed off the pins before they actually get
where they're going on reassembly?

Thanks!

Brad

Put the lube in the sleeve, inside the accordion boot, not on the pin.
Doing this though may tend to seal an air pocket in the end of the sleeve,
which will want to push the pin back out. but at least you know there's
lube in there.

matt.
