ok,

i had to replace the daily driver which was totaled a few weeks ago in a
hit/run. i got another scion Xa for reliability and low cost of overall
use. however, i would like a bit more punch and with spec's like those
below, (1.5l 4 cyl 16v dohc), there would be something i could do to spice
up the car's performance.
normally, first thing i would think about is brakes but starting at 103hp
and trying for maybe 10 - 20hp+ i think the stock brakes would be ok. while
the suspension can use some enhancement, the f/r sway bars also seem
adequate for now. so, what does that leave? intake? exhaust? boost seems
out of the question with 10,5:1 compression, (it seems weird that i dont
need high test with 10.5?!?!).

so what do you guys think i should be looking at for the scion while the
miata is being fixed?
tia,
peter

I don't see where a few PSI would be out of the question. If you are looking
for punch it would be where I started. Anything else (Intake/Exhaust) seems
like a waste of money. Google would probably give you a better signal/noise
ratio than the power list.

try scionlife.com or clubxb.com (different model, same engine for the
latter).

We have an auto 1.3 bB (JDM!) ... I don't see much point in modding it for
power personally (much like a normally aspirated NA) ;)
