Just getting around to running boost again and have a strange boost spike
and fall. BBB turbo. Boost controller set to ~14psi. Mechanical boost set
~6psi. Boost comes up to 10 and falls right back to 6. It will hold 6psi.
Seemed to me like classic hose problem but I went through every hose last
night even the ones to the controller. And the idle bypass and nipple
behind manifold..
1. Would it behave like this if the controller wasn't working? I can run a
test light to check it. Haven't heard it working but don't normally until
max boost anyway.
2. Do ya think I still have a bad hose somewhere?
3. Haven't set up WG base and all that. Could that be the problem?

Thanks. Your help will save me a lot of time.

Ralph

You bet, and you really should do a data log to sort out that kind of
problem. But even when you do get it working I really doubt that it will be
stable in the boost-target mode above 10 psi. It usually gets unstable by
2:1 boost increase. For 14 psi, try the duty cycle control mode instead, or
get a 10-12 psi wg cannister.
