Well Kurt, not quite customer service, but you could have let me know that
the yellow I looked at buying from one of your customers, right near your
shop, had been wrecked and you were well aware of it.
The owner lied to me too, point blank, thank god I tracked down his former
mechanic.
Mechanic: "Yeah, it's a nice car, he took good care of it, oh, by the way,
how's it look since it got t-boned?"
Ross: "oh.......it looks great, drives a little funny...he said it was a
bent rim..."
Always check your references :)
I'm sure a mechanic would have figured it out too when I took it in for a
pre-buy inspection, which the seller didn't want to do for some reason,
hmmm....dropped another grand to get try to get the deal done that day.
Ross
92 Yellow turbo that's never been wrecked! (yet)

I have to cry Foul on that....
It was none of Kurt's business... he would have been stupid to get
involved... and he probably would have lost two customers that day.
Now as for the owner. Lying is wrong, but to expect Kurt to be the honesty
police is going a bit too far... If Kurt had lied to you that would have
been wrong also.

Sorry but I disagree. If he was standing by silently while someone was
trying to sell Ross a car he knew had been damaged he is a
co-conspirator in a fraud. JMHO
I would hope that someone I had been doing business with would be honest
enough to warn me of a issue like this.

Hi Ross
I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. But since I don't actually work AT the shop, I'm not surprised I don't have a clue about your yellow car. I just run the turbo program for them and have a full-time job elsewhere. I get a small sum from each kit we sell, I've written the instructions, install a few kits from time to time just for fun and because I enjoy it, pre-assemble all the kits before they're shipped, and provide email and phone technical support for the AERO-Max program.
I know that Pete, Khoi, Blake and John are very honorable and honest men. At least PBC finally has employees I can say that about. I'm sure no one intentionally deceived you. Did you ask anyone at the shop specifically about this car before you purchased it?
Was this Adam's car? Didn't know he was selling it. It's the only yellow I know of around the area with a turbo on it. BTW, you need to talk to me about getting that turbo running properly. The car's got setup problems and always has. Previous owner, if I'm talking about the right car, never bothered to get it dialed in right. There's power to be found!
Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.

I agree that if Kurt was listening in then I would side with you. I don't
exactly think that was the case.
Kurt should not have to warn everyone that the car was onced wrecked! I
stand by what I say, he should not have to actively pursue every possible
buyer just because the sale of the vehicle is happening next door.

This list is degenerating... it has fallen to speculative name calling, with
no power or technical content of any merit. Can we get back to reality?

Sorry ... I apologize.. I was off topic...
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
So regarding the '99 is there any interest in ECU development?
So far I have only seen two posts. I have found quite a bit of info though
and although the project does seem large (and I would expect it to be) it
does not seem like I have an original idea by any stretch of the
imagination. Seems like a lot of people have published the required formulas
and interface specs.
Not all of it miata based... but useful none the less
