Kinda what I was thinking, and I found a 9 gallon air tank at Grainger for
$40.. maybe get a pair of them and plumb them together? a regular 20
gallon or so is practically the same as a new Menards/Home Depot
compressor.

I would think that the only way to repair the tank would be to weld it.
But,
if it is leaking because of rust, it will quickly rust through again.
Time to turn it into a barbeque.

Well, it's official, winter is coming in full force to good ole West
Michigan.. 3-6" by tonight they say.. Put the car in the garage last night

P.S. Anyone got experience patching a air compressor tank with a hole?
Unknown cause, probably rust (it's an old unit, but I haven't seen it
yet)...
