Now I have more HP it seems that the lower gears are too low?
I mean by the time I launch at 4000 rpm and the rev limiter cuts in, it seems
like only a second or two! Then I hit the rev limited in second, just a second
or two later (or so it seems!)
Would the situation be improved by raining the overall gear ratios - can an
RX7 dif head be installed in the Miata?

O.K. Miataheads....Listen up!
Here is your chance to do Mt. Hamilton. All you who read
about this FANTASTIC one-in-a-million drive in the Mx5
Journal will have the opportunity to drive it with
a person who knows every crack and dead chipmunk in
the road. A certain well known speed freak is also planning
on going. If that doesn't grab you I don't know what will!!
I am open for requests on the most popular day to do this.
So lemme know. See you at the top!
P.S. If you are a *fine* upstanding person of the green or blue
uniformed persuasion who take unsual pride in things that
shoot deadly projectiles and who contribute to the
coffers -err- safety of Santa Clara or Stanislaus counties, you
should seriously think about doing something else that day.
I know who you are, so don't pull a fakey on me.
Rev up your turbo motors because this n/a will kick your ass!
(That's a JOKE! ) :)

Mail From: Manuel Patino <(email redacted)>
It's finally getting cold here in Atlanta. I notice that the shifting is a
little balky in the morning. I wonder if it would help to change the
transmission fluid to synthetic. I also wonder if the Mobil SHC630 or
something similar would work. After all, these products are designated as
"gear oil". Also, would it help to change the diff oil as well? Is there a
synthetic product that would help?
Finally, is there any data to support the claims of horsepower increase by
switching to synthetic oil?
Thanks
Manuel Patino
