I tried moving Honey Bee in the driveway this morning and the car went
into gear with no problem. I drove it down the road and got the banging
noise Janice got and then locked a wheel. I turned around and when I
went into my driveway I locked a wheel again. I was able to see the
wheel was the front right. I looked in and could see something was
wrong with the caliper. I removed the wheel and discovered that the
moron that did the last brake job must have left a caliper mounting
bracket bolt loose. The caliper was pivoting upward and hitting the
inside of the wheel. After the appropriate repair and checking all the
suspension and brake bolts front and rear I went for a test ride.

Honey Bee seems to be back to her old self again and all seems fine
except for the fact that the clutch does have 90k on it and is engaging
high. I've already ordered a JR Stage I and will eventually put it in
but the urgency is gone for the moment.

The question is why the tranny was hanging up though?? Could a shock
load like a wheel coming to an abrupt stop have locked it up somehow?
Sort of like the old locked in reverse problem but locked out of any
gear???
