It just occurred to me that I test drove the Subaru while it was dirty, and
had to wait for the car to be washed. I really didn't inspect the car...
Additionally, the sales guy mentioned he had to move several cars to get this
particular car out of the lot, and that I should feel free to call if I
happened to notice anything in the next day or two.
I also doubt that anyone could have hit the car, as it was parked in an
underground garage on a day when half the workforce was out on holiday. I think
the dealer had the car washed, waxed over the damage so it wouldn't stand
out, and then yesterday after driving home in the bright sunlight I could SEE
it!

MAN! I can't BELIEVE it! I think the sales guy or someone else had
previously damaged the paint and I just didn't notice it! I'm scanning my contract
to check for a "Cool-off period." I'm, in Maryland, and I know Maryland USED
to have a 72 hour period in which a sales contract could be canceled. I'm
going to take the car back to the dealer and point out this damage.
Let's see if they do the right thing.
