First loosen the jam nut, then pull the clip. Now slip the actuator arm off
the rod. Basically, you want to shorten the actuator arm to increase boost
(up to a point), and to tighten the wastegate valve to seat 'operation'.
People have reported worn seats due to rattling in the past. Now, turn the
end a couple of turns (DO NOT LET THE ARM ITSELF TURN!!!), reset the jam nut
and road test. I was able to get a hair over 7psi by turning the end all the
way to the end of the threads on the arm. I have heard that turning the
whole arm can damage the diaphragm inside the housing which would obviously
be less than desireble. I now have mine backed off a couple of turns, as I
have another boost controller.
Have you done all of your low boost break-in miles yet?
