All,
Had the dealer measure crankshaft endplay and came up with .27mm of
endplay. Another .03mm and I would be geting a new motor according to
the service bulletin on the subject. My question to the list is what
does the shop manual say the spec is for endplay. Is it .3mm or is Mazda
adjusting it on the bulletin to keep the number of
engine replacements down.
Thanks
Kevin

All it will take is a few weeks at 7000 RPM. It will wear and wear
rapidly... then take the motor back in... PS doesn't matter if you run the
piss out of it, the motor is gonna grenade before the warranty expires more
than likely.
They can fix it now, or fix it later.
