To answer some questions posed to me off list about the
engine flush here are some further comments:

The stuff I use is made by "Gunk brand" and is the only
engine flush found on the shelves around here. I
suspect they kicked butt in the market since it works so
well. I DO NOT recommend regular engine flushes, only
as a response to a specific issue like the sticking
HLA's. Even then, only for ones where you have already
tried other weights of oil and the HLA ticking is
constant.

The method with this product is to add it to a normally
filled crankcase and idle the warm engine for 7-10
minutes w/o load, then drain. I always refill the
crankcase with a good brand of synthetic oil after
changing the filter and recommend that the synthetic oil
be used for at least two oil change cycles before
returning to "normal" oil, if the owner desires.

I have never needed to do this to a turbo motor, but I
believe it is safe to do so since there is no load on
the motor or turbo and this engine flush agent is not as
harsh as some of the industrial ones used by dealers.

I hope that clarifies things. Feel free to ask more
questions or comment further.
