Not a virus, but a royal pain anyway. The email purports to come from "MS
Inet
Message System". "Bug Mail" is in the subject line. If you open it,
it automatically opens up multiple Internet Explorer windows (about 2 a
second!) till you have to press ALT-Control-Delete to reboot. Delete it
without opening it at all, since the problem is not in its attachment per
se, but in the main message.

Not sure what you are asking, but suggest you may be using something newer
that Win98. If so, then note the "msconfig" in the RUN line no longer
works. Are you asking about Windows messenger? I use 2000
professional. I was getting a lot of spam messages even while off
line. Process to disable: Start - settings - control panel -
administrative tools - services - messenger - Use pull down menu to
"disable" --- apply. As far as getting e-mail spam and virus problems,
Eudora simplifies a lot of problems. Is free also. No Miata Power here,
but power to the PC user!
