Our NE Dragway opens up in April and I would like to run the 1/4 just to see
how my car does.

What do I need to know/do?

If the car does under 13.5 (doubtful, but maybe) it will need rollbar and I
need a helmet, right? (NHRA Track) I have a 'style bar' and I suppose that
won't pass.

Any advice appreciated! (anyone from New England want to go? Wed and Fri and
Sat after Easter) or antime thereafter...

Chris

Faster than 13.99 then you need a helmet (some require it regardless of
speed - I always do it even when slow!)
Faster than 11.99 you need a rollbar and helmet

This is from memory, so it may not be right.. I ran a stock 96 Trans Am
convertable 13.89 with just a helmet, no issues... so I thin 11.99 is the
rollbar point./

NHRA rules state that convertibles need a bar at 13.99 or faster.

They won't hassle you with the hardtop. You have to run top up, unless you
do not have a top.

Mark

PS - You'll go faster with the top up and the hardtop is even better for
MPH even though you add some weight.
