For the first time today I try to hook up the Link datalogger and I can not
figure it out. Does anyone have any instructions on how to use it?

thanks

Hello, Tim:

Don't even bother using Telix if you have a fairly recent notebook
computer using Win95/98. Use the Hyperterminal application that comes
bundles with the OS.

Set up your new connection to write direct to Com 1 using the Kermit
transfer protocol, and set up your Com 1 serial port to 2400 baud. Connect
the Serial Link to the ECU cable and your serial cable, click the connect
button, then turn on the ignition... you will then get your zones. When you
start your car, you'll start getting real-time data. Just be sure you set
your capture on, so your data will be saved to disk, for your later review.
If you have trouble, email me and I'll get more specific. Hope this helps.

For folks with newer chips that do only binary datalogging, Hyperterminal
will not work. Use the software from the dlralt web site instead.
