For those of you with the upgraded downpipes (especially the 1.8 IHI), does
the 2.5" large down pipe run from the turbo to the cat or from the first
flange (about 1.5 ft. downstream of the turbo) to the cat?

I visited a custom muffler shop that will do the section from the 1st
flange to the cat in 2.5" aluminized steel for about $125. Problem is,
they don't mandrel bend. Will this negate most of the advantages of going
to a 2.5"? If I go to a 2.75" to compensate for the bent section, won't
the exhaust flow be further disrupted when it has to go back down to a 2.5"
cat-back? From the list, I've learned that it is very impt to keep bends
gentle and diameters consistent.

Thanks,
Stephen
