Just got to thinking. I have been toying with the idea of putting a cat back
(not a "cat back") into my exhaust system - I have been running with a test
pipe for years.

I am finally getting tired of the volume. Guess I must be gettin' old or
something. I have SC with JR manifold and Scorpion exhaust. It's very loud
and quite raspy, a cat would just quieten it down a little and reduce the
raspiness.

The question is, what do I go for? Standard CAT or FM free flow. SC behaves
differently to turbo don't forget. I think a cat would give me more lbs
boost (more backpressure), but what about power. Jeremy Hendy has a setup
identical to mine, but with a cat, but he sees over 1lb more boost and
slightly more power than me.

Stripey Si Knapton.
