You might want to retest the can to see if it's really at 12 now. Connect
the hose directly from the turbo outlet to the can (without the solenoid)
and see what the new base really is.

Subject: Can't run 17psi?
SO, I can't run 17psi, the most the car will physically make is 16psi, with
SNS at 130 and WG% a solid 99%.
Pretty sure the wastegate is opening due to gas pressure flow.. I'm guessing
this since I (oops) accidentally ran without a vac hose hooked to the can
right before the track and the most boost it made was 16.5psi...
What's my solution? I would like to keep the can at 12 psi so I can run a
12 base without WI, and then a 17psi with water...
All this stupidity stems from when I pulled the WG to pull a lose nut off
the shaft, and when I put it back WGBASE is different.. I believe it was 98
before and I'm at 80 now.
ARG.
So do I need a new can? Do I have to tighten the existing can back to 98?
I never knew that this could happen, I always assumed that the WG would
clamp shut without a vac source and send boost through the roof, but
apparently I can actually run the can without a signal hose at all and not
overshoot 16.5

All this stupidity stems from when I pulled the WG to pull a lose nut off
the shaft, and when I put it back WGBASE is different.. I believe it was 98
before and I'm at 80 now.
ARG.
So do I need a new can? Do I have to tighten the existing can back to 98?
I never knew that this could happen, I always assumed that the WG would
clamp shut without a vac source and send boost through the roof, but
apparently I can actually run the can without a signal hose at all and not
overshoot 16.5

I can manually cut the BCS out via power switch, it's definitely 12psi.
180 ramping to 183 near redline.

Unless you think the BCS leaks?

But that doesn't explain the fact that if I run without any hose on the
can, I boost to 16.5 psi only.. this is the BBB and should go
stratospheric. This is what makes me think the air flow out of the
motor is forcing the WG open, which means it's too weak, which means I
need to either tighten it down (it was 198 according to DLL settings) or
get a new one (whihc I don't have $$$ to do).

You might want to retest the can to see if it's really at 12
now. Connect=20
the hose directly from the turbo outlet to the can (without the
solenoid)=20
and see what the new base really is.

SO, I can't run 17psi, the most the car will physically make is
16psi, with=20
SNS at 130 and WG% a solid 99%.
=09
Pretty sure the wastegate is opening due to gas pressure flow..
I'm guessing=20
this since I (oops) accidentally ran without a vac hose hooked
to the can=20
right before the track and the most boost it made was 16.5psi...

What's my solution? I would like to keep the can at 12 psi so I

aking of RTLink, for the next version I?m playing with dropping the separat=
e ignition grid and using the space that will free up on the screen to allo=
w a total of around 7-8 user selectable displays. The idea is to use =
one grid to display either fuel or ignition values. You could also ch=
oose to display either the zone numbers or the deltas as in 1.3.0. Th=
e colors would remain the same as in 1.3.0 no matter if you?re looking at f=
uel or ignition, i.e., yellow for touched zones, red for current, blue for =
tuned, orange for knock, green for tuned + current, etc. Having two g=
rids hasn?t seemed to be all that useful in real life to me, but having the=
ability to select 7 or 8 of about twelve possible values to display would =
be interesting for playback purposes or when on the dyno. The only ti=

uld just as easily be flagged in orange in the fuel grid. </SPAN=
