I just want to take a moment to express something.

If the list was all about helping expand the knowledge of what it takes to
go faster and safer and make more power with a Miata, then there would be no
worries. If the list was about sharing information for information sake, and
not taken as egocentric bragging, then it would remain information.

I for one am looking forward to hearing what Greg finds with the TEC. If it
means that he can make more power, then I would like to know more about why
he can. He should be able to talk about it and share the information here
without any grief. (yeah sure ;)

I, like him am tired at times of the debates degenerating from discussion
and countepoint to something else.

I also understand that it is very easy to misinterpret what someone means
when they send words via email and you cannot see the expression on the face
or the tounge in cheek.

This TEC vs Link thing is out of hand. I like the Link for my street
application. I can tune it well. Some people like the TEC and they can tune
it well. It works for them, the Link works for me.

Then there are some that just like to have the latest and greatest gimmick
or mod for the sake of being current. That is cool for them as well.

What is wrong is that someone cannot express and opinion without it getting
personal and sometimes nasty. I sent a tirade to the list about a month ago
about this and unsubbed for about 2 weeks because of this. The good guys and
discussion that are the wheat seperated from the BS that is the chaff that
brought me back. All of the great people like the ones that I met at the
open house are why I stay.

Greg is just trying to make his car run better. If he does that on a Link
with a Jacobs ignition, then great. If it takes a TEC and more boost, great.

Drop the attitudes and the egos and just get on with it. If there are
personal things going on, take it to private email.

I know that one of the emails that I sent may have looked like sniping. I am
here to say sorry to Greg and others if it was taken out of context. All I
was trying to say is, Did you know that you were still copying the whole
list on some of that?

Jess

I just want to take a moment to express something, too.

I am far more tired of your self-pitying, holier-than-thou
diatribes-by-post.

The ECU discussion is just that, a discussion. There will always be
skeptics and there will always be competition. These things are necessary
to spark debate and later improvement. No one should mistake spirited
discussion with mean spiritedness. The fact that each of these camps has
its supporters and detractors in no way takes away from any of their
achievements.

The fact your recent post was regarded as a snipe is because it was. You
are just simply a smartass. There's nothing wrong with that either, keep on
being a smartass, it's fine with me. I wouldn't mind if you unsubbed
permanently either. The two weeks you were off were among the most
smartass-free on this List. In fact, before you attacked me personally,
when you first surfaced here, I didn't know it was possible to attack
someone personally without even knowing them.

At any rate, the delete key is my savior.

The same crying, bitching, name calling happen on one of the Mustang boards
and it got shut down. Take this anyway you want. This board has great info
on it but I think so issues just go to far.
