21 psi - 345hp 305tq (A/F 11.5 on wideband)
21 psi with 50 shot NX Nitrous - **** 449hp 395tq **** (A/F 11.2 on wideband)

That would be a new Miata record for hp/tq...

When the spray hits the car sounds wild... I was unable to drive it as I think I smoked the clutch in the car with the Nitrous or hurt this tranny...

I'm pretty scared to drive it and I think I will only use the spray in 4th gear and maybe 5th if I need it..

The car is still tuned very conservative, I spoke to Danny (SCCA Racer and he even mention I was conservative, but I wanted to be safe with the car...

There once was a time that power levels of this sort were found only in the=
fastest supercars, like the Countach. That's a car with not only a roof, b=
ut a substantially heavier structure altogether. They also tended to be dri=
ven by very rich people with the world's best medical coverage at their dis=
posal. And people this rich didn't garner much sympathy if they ever had an=
y problems piloting their land-rockets.

You've chosen to reach these levels using a 4-wheel motorcycle (for all the=
protection you'll have if you should happen to have an "incident").

What might save your life is the unending stream of broken drivetrain compo=
nents that will keep you off the road.

Oh and by the way, congratulations - that's quite an achievement and I'm no=
t envious one little bit.

I'm still shaking 6-7 hours later and my buddy was driving the car on the dyno, I just heard it and reviewed the WALL on my Dyno chart.. All I know is that the car will be getting a scatter shield and some driveshaft loops before I race it.. Plus I have the 6 point harness now...

Thank goodness for the Bear Big Brakes to help me stop this machine..

*shakes head* Canadians.... That's ok, Marc, I'll drive up and take that
off your hands for you, I wouldn't want the fear to get to you... I'll

Seriously, though, congrats, those are some wicked numbers and I can see
how that can be intimidating, especially the hit of a spray....

Hi all,

Just a quick question, 95M with a/l brakes, speedbleeders. Ever since I
got the car the brake pedal has been kind of low and soft, not terrible, no
one notices but me. Got speedbleeders and did a very thorough
bleeding/fluid change, didn't get any air. I adjusted the rear's until the
rotors were actually dragging a bit, it didn't change the pedal level or
feel. Are the antilock brakes typically a lower pedal? The reason I am
suspicious is with the car off if I pump away all the vacuum in the booster
the pedal is high and rock solid even with a LOT of foot pressure, if it
had air in the lines it should still feel soft even w/o the booster.

So is this typical? Or maybe with the antilock does it become like a Honda
where you have a very hard time getting all the air out without a power
bleeder?

I just wanted to see if this behavior has been seen by others before I do
more radical things like replace the master cylinder. With the car running
and not moving if you press the pedal harder than you would ever need to
short of a full panic stop you can feel the pedal go down through the soft
area until it comes to a more solid feel, just like when one part of dual
brakes needs bleeding and the other doesn't. Holding steady pressure for a
long time does not cause the pedal to drop as if a master cylinder seal is
bad allowing fluid to leak back toward the reservoir. The fluid never
drops, no leaks, no visibly bulging flex lines, although they are the
originals.

I am sure some will tell me to dump the antilock brakes, but my wife drives
the car too and I would rather have them on for her after seeing her
flatspot our Maxima tires when a car stopped quick in front of her. It is
important she continue to like driving the Miata so that funding stays
available!

Question for the power nuts: why honda crowd can pump 600-700 hp
through the GSR engine (18C??) and the BP can not (or not yet)?

Those 600-700 hp blocks have a lot more work done to them.. I only have pistons and rods in my motor with a stock 99 head.. We had a 600hp Honda Motor last year and it cost a lot to have it built.. My motor was assembled in-house.

Plus the Honda's use 60-1 Turbos and bigger.. I'm running a T3/T4 only... They also have VTEC whcih does work.. As we tuned a 9:1 Type-R Turbo before my car and he made over 325hp @ 14.5psi with an AEM standalone (Neat system...) Hard to use...

Don't worry.. My friend in his FWD Mazda MX3 has already made 600hp with his BP!! I'm hoping to have his setup next year when he upgrades....

Those 600-700 hp blocks have a lot more work done to them..
I only have pistons and rods in my motor with a stock 99 head..
We had a 600hp Honda Motor last year and it cost a lot to have it
built.. My motor was assembled in-house.

Plus the Honda's use 60-1 Turbos and bigger.. I'm running a
T3/T4 only... They also have VTEC whcih does work.. As we tuned a
9:1 Type-R Turbo before my car and he made over 325hp @ 14.5psi
with an AEM standalone (Neat system...) Hard to use...

Don't worry.. My friend in his FWD Mazda MX3 has already
made 600hp with his BP!! I'm hoping to have his setup next year
when he upgrades....

The car went to the Dyno and here is what it pulled...

15 psi - 284hp 230 tq
21 psi - 345hp 305tq (A/F 11.5 on wideband)
21 psi with 50 shot NX Nitrous - **** 449hp 395tq **** (A/F 11.2 on
wideband)

That would be a new Miata record for hp/tq...

When the spray hits the car sounds wild... I was unable to drive it as I
think I smoked the clutch in the car with the Nitrous or hurt this tranny...

gear and maybe 5th if I need it..

The car is still tuned very conservative, I spoke to Danny (SCCA Racer and
he even mention I was conservative, but I wanted to be safe with the car...
