Does anyone have any information about the efficiency of the 1.8 engine's
stock oil cooler?

Specifically--will the stock oil cooler suffice for a turbocharged 1.8, or
should one also add an
external oil cooler?

Also, does anyone know how much difference the oil cooler makes in the oil
capacities between
the engines (3.6 qts for the 1.6, 4.2 qts for the 1.8).

TIA,

Regie Bryant

FWIW, I run my 1.6 FMII system at 12psi with no oil cooler (in Miami,
including
summer rush hour) - from my experience, if you're planning on running track
events that exceed about 5 minutes in duration, I'd recommend looking into
one,
otherwise it's overkill.
