...As you all know, my 99; "Max" was on 'vacation' this summer. He spent the
summer among flat out race porsched in the hands of Genday Soyker (some may
have heard of him - he's a real race nut); owner of GT Performance in
Edgewood, MD.
#1 Shop/ Labor techniques of GT Performance. Gotta say, hands down, they do
great work. They may take a bit more time, but I know its done right. Would I
take my car there again? Definitely.
#2 Centerforce Dual Fricition Clutch. AWESOME. Has a very OEM feel to it, yet
it really grabs (from what I can tell so far - my car barks the 16's with
ease on a 2nd gear shift). Would I buy one again? DEFINITELY!
#3 Source for some of my used parts. Bought a crank (1.8 Protege), and
complete cylinder head (99) from two vendors on www.car-part.com. Everything
was shipping in good time. Very satisfied..anytime I need something, I will
go to them first. I was very impressed. All parts were in perfect condition.
Thats all for now...watch for one on the new AEM intake coming soon.
As far as AEM's site....the Miata intake isnt on there yet since its not off
the production line yet. I have been told that once they are ready for sale,
the site WILL be updated. Should be about a week or two. If sales go good for
the intakes, AEM will start making more parts for our Miatas. I have told
them about supporting Miata.net as well. Theya re also supporting the October
6th event at Bel Air Autobody. They are unable to attend, but they sent me a
few things. The intake *should* be on my car so you can look at it, but NO
TOUCHING, and try not to breathe on it! (kidding - breath and touch all you
want).
If you dont know about the October 6th event, go to www.miata.net and go to
the events section. You will see it listed under OCTOBER 6TH.
