Peachtree Miata Club hosts Track Day at Talladega

Maybe if they don't fill up with Miatae, they would even open it up to
non-Miata drivers as well :-)
Some of the local groups go down there for driving schools and it is
supposed to be nice. Of course I know a Miata driver that did thousands of
damage to his car there during a Solo 1 event - so they do have run off
areas but you can still get into trouble (he didn't lift).

Now you're really stretching it, I give them credit for just opening it up
to non-members.

Well, you can get into trouble almost anywhere if you don't lift when you
leave the track!
I've seen people spin into the retention ditches or even smack the fence
along the final straight before the front, but they were going awfully hard
and were inexperienced and just driving too fast. Nothing's ever guaranteed
though, so like any track event: Be prepared.
