I have a 96 M-Edition, with 16,500 miles on it. The car is perfect, the
only flaw is it has 2 small rock chips. It has never been in the snow,
and only a couple times in the rain. It looks like I might have to sell
this car. What is the best way to get a fair price for my car? I've
gotten a buy bid from a local Mazda dealer, but it's well below trade-in
value. I'm not sure I have enough time to list it in the paper.
The car is worth top dollar, but I'd be willing to take a fair price for
it.
Thanks
Alan

You might look at Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) or Edmunds
(www.edmunds.com) and do a private party estimate. I looked up on KBB
(not knowing any extras you have on your car) and they price it in
excellent condition at $9060 private party transaction. The pricing it
gives you will vary a bit based on where you live (I'm in Alabama, USA).
If I could figure out a way to get that much money past my wife, I'd
love to get a Miata with low mileage like that. =)
