So... in addition to replacing the clutch and machining the flywheel,
replacing the timing belt, everything else suggested here, unclogging
the AC drain thing that floods the passenger footwell, and an oil &
lube, my mechanic has discovered that the rear and front seals on the
transmission are starting to go, so these and a new gasket are holding
up the process because Mazda didn't have them in stock so they had to be
ordered in.

Hopefully, I'll have Max back on Monday. Top down weather will arrive
on Wednesday. Our current weather of rain is the only thing keeping me
sane as I drive around town in a 95 Chrysler Cirrus. Ick.
