Mail From: bonni (Bonni Weatherwax)
My helmet is thrashed, even though it is an SA-2000. I'm thinking to
upgrade to something of more quality, but preferably under $400 (and
hopefully Hans ready). Any suggestions as to vendors? Thanks!

I bought mine at Bell Motorsports (aka Pyrotect) in Oakland, Bonni.
They have a bunch of different models between the Bell and Pyrotect
lineups. We showed up on a weekend without calling ahead and they
weren't open, but an employee was kicking around the place and let
us inside to do some shopping. I ended up leaving with both an M
and SA helmet and I've been exceedingly happy with both ever since.

Since you asked about vendors...
I've purchased a couple of helmets from Discovery Parts and been quite
happy. SafeRacer has also been good for other stuff, although you have
to realize that they have constant 10% off sales so their listed
prices are really just fictional. Kinda like Bed Bath and Beyond.
There's a standing Spec Miata discount at SafeRacer, you can find it
in the specmiata.com forum.
