I've got a fuel pressure gauge to mount in the car, where would a good spot
to tap the fuel line be to get a good pressure reading? My last car had a
check valve that I used (so I didn't have to cut/splice lines), but I want
a more permanent install..

If your talking about installing a mechanical fuel gauge you DON'T mount it
in the car. Only electric gauges mount inside the car. As for where to
mount the fitting for a gauge you use the feed line to the fuel rail. The
line switches from metal to rubber at the front fender. Open it there and
install a tee with an extra piece of line to reconnect to the metal line.

JEZZ.. I'm not a total moron! :)
It's a full electric, no fuel lines running in the cockpit at all. I
wouldn't even consider it on a car. The only mechanical gauge I have is
boost, and that ain't gonna kill me it if fails. :)
I found the 2 fuel lines on the passenger fender, which do I want... front
or rear or car? I just glanced at it today.

You want the hose going to the front of the rail, which is the rear metal
line.

It *might* kill you if it fails at high boost! I wonder what an Autometer
orange gauge needle feels like when it blows out of the gauge at 20 psi...
;P
You want to tap the line that feeds the rail at the *front* (furthest from
the firewall).
Good luck!
