Tweety (our Canadian yellow) will undergo some suspension tweeks this
winter. For this I already got the FM stuff. But I want to use Koni shocks
in combination with the FM springs. Before the installation starts however
I'd love to have some questions answered.

1) Do the FM springs themselves already lower the rideheight of the car. If
so by how much?
2) The Koni shocks are height adjustable. IIRC height can be adjusted by
removing perches with 5 being the max. Has anyone done so. If so how many
have you removed?
3) Anyone have any comments of the KONI - FM springs combo

Thanks in advance.

Uh, it says ~1" in the catalog.

Konis have three positions for the lower spring perch. I would use the
upper position for the FM springs but I am sure Keith could provide more
knowledgeable advise.:-)

Yes the FM springs lower the car by themselves. You don't remove perches
with the Koni's, unless they have changed them. You lower the clip the
perch sits on and put it in a lower groove on the shock body. Unless your
roads are a lot better than ours I would not use anything but the stock
perch setting. My car is pretty low already with the springs and the Koni's
on the stock setting. JMHO

Nice, I'd recommend keeping the stock perch height on the Konis. The FM
springs will lower the car enough already. The final height will be 30-32
cm in the front and 32-35 cm in the rear, measuring from the center of the
wheel to the bottom of the fender. It's hard to say exactly how much the
car will lower unless you know how high it is to start. As you know,
different model years had different heights.

It does sound as if you've got a different model Koni than is often seen in
the US, so it's difficult to say how that would all work out in terms of ride.
