My five year old vinyl rear window has finally given up the ghost. It was 60 degrees out this evening, and when I went to lower the convertible top, I heard this awful CRACK! noise. Sure enough, there are some severe horizontal cracks in the rear vinyl window.
My convertible top is cloth, and although a little faded is still in great shape. Is there any way that I can replace the rear window myself, and if so, how do I go about doing it? I've seen the directions for fixes on Miata.net in the garage section, but the fixes seem to apply mostly to the vinyl tops, and there doesn't seem to be fixes for cloth tops.
Any suggestions, or am I stuck goping to an upholstery shop to get this repaired?
TIA!!

I decided to bite the bullet and have someone else do it. I called up
my local Mazda dealer and asked who they outsourced their convertible
top work to, and took it there. They had the car less than half a
day, and the price was very reasonable IIRC.
