The fan isn't working in my cockpit anymore. I still hear the AC compressor turn on, and I can feel heat come out if I keep the air intake on refresh, but no air comes out the fan.

Is this as simple to fix as replacing the fan switch?

If it is...is this a simple enough installation to do without a shop manual?

Thanks!

+++ You might want to check the circuit protection before doing
anything serious.

You don't say what year your car is, Rob, but, on my 93, there's a
fuse box above the dead pedal [hard to get to]. It's cover details the
fuses' purposes and locations.

There's a 20amp fuse in there which protects both the blower switch
and the wiper switch. [See if your wipers work.]

There's also a circuit breaker there for the blower motor circuit.

Good luck.

Keep the Revs up!

Also, depending on the year of your car, the motor itself may have
stopped working. I've had to replace mine before.

If the fuse is good, pull the blower motor (3-10mm screws holding it
into the bottom of the air box on the far right of the pax foot well)
and make sure that the fan spins freely.

Don't bother trying to fix the motor. I've tried on 3 different
ones. It's nearly impossible.

There's a switch in the fan unit that can generate too much resistance and
shut down the first couple of settings, as well. I forget the exact details
- perhaps it's the resistor pack that creates the various speeds. Given
that your fan has stopped completely that's probably not the culprit.

I've got a complete HVAC setup if anyone's looking for parts. Contact me
directly.
