Every year or so I have to top up the clutch master cylinder reservoir . What do you normally do, buy a new clutch master cylinder reservoir, or look elsewhere for the cause?

Odds are it's the slave leaking, not the master.

I swear by rebuilding them if possible. $10 rebuild kits from Mazda Comp or
Napa, 30 minutes to an hour of labor depending on skill. My original 99
slave failed at 27k miles. The rebuild of it has lasted to 83k miles. On my
90, it's in bad enough shape, I'm replacing it with a new one for time sake.

Yikes, I guess I should have pointed out that's for the Slave Cylinder, not
the master.
