What makes you think the seller knows the country of origin? Or is telling the truth? Perhaps the box they are in are from Japan, but I doubt the contents are Japanese. My guess is the importer is from Japan, but it is anybodys guess on the manufacturing location.

Overall, car parts and accessories from ebay (the chinese importers) are a leap of faith. For the most part they are fine, but you take a risk to save a few bucks. I consider anything I buy from ebay to be "disposable". I am generally happy with the products, but I am prepared to be undewhelmed should a cheap part arrive.
