And then there's Canadian English with regional dialects like Quebec English
and Western Canadian English.

Dman. This is getting confusing. I think I'll go to the depanneur and pick
up some poutine.

No offense, but GAWD I hope not!

depanneur = corner store, or convenience store, or 7-11. Only in Quebec as
it confused the rest of Canada. I use it because there's no alternative in
anyone's English. A "panne" in French is an accident, i.e. you've invited a
whole pack of people to your place for coffee, and discover you have no
cream, sugar or coffee. That's a "panne." A de-panne-er gets you out of the
panne by being open at odd hours and having cream, sugar and coffee.

poutine = the best form of heart-clogging chips (sorry, that's french fries
in some places.) Greasy fries coated with gravy and a flock of melted
cheddar cheese curds on top. Has to be experienced to be appreciated. Even
our McDonalds here have poutine, a regional specialty, although I wouldn't
recommend their version. Poutine has recently invaded New Hampshire as I saw
it served on a shocking pink Frisbee, complete with gravy and curds, in
Rochester. Yummy!

Boy that's a relief. I had promised my wife a long time ago that I
wouldn't marry anyone else while we were still married but I thought
for sure we were going to have to have a shotgun wedding.

But no really, does anyone care to have one of those big sheets of
metal that covers the engine bay from a 99 Miata. You can't even tell
it was bent except for the support pieces underneath the hood which
have a crease in them. I can send pics if anyone is interested.

Because the support pieces were creased the ins. co. said they had to
replace it.

I get it Friday a.m.

It would work for an everyday hood but I thought someone might be going
to experiment with an extractor hood since FM won't ever release their
99+ extractor hood.

Those crazy French Canadians. It's like they have a different word for
everything.
