My quest for Redline gear and tranny lube for the 30K mile maintenance on the '04 MSM, led me to some other thoughts. Particularly after reading some posts here and on other forums.

Where the Owner's Manual calls only for "Inspection", due to the age of the car I thought I'd go ahead and replace. I'm thinking all belts and hoses, but what about plug wires and gas filter? Are they subject to deterioration due to age?

I'm planning a week and a half trip this fall up to Lime Rock for their Vintage Festival and then over to Watkins Glen the following weekend for the Zippo Vintage GP. I don't want to run into any car problems that could have been avoided by preventive maintenance.

I'd appreciate any and all comments.
