I am looking for any references for someone to service my 2001, other than a dealer, on central Vancouver Island. I need a new timing belt. Any recommendations appreciated.

When I moved to the Island in June 2009, I had a mechanic in Calgary that serviced my vehicle. Here after 9 years, I still do not need anything done to my 92 Miata, but would go to the dealer here in Victoria. In Nanaimo you have Harris, ask for Rob Devore
Service Manager and ask him what he can do for you. What you are doing is getting the timing belt changed to prevent future problems.
