"The Targa Miata"

Originally built from the ground up to take on the Targa Newfoundland. Long-travel suspension, a high-compression bored and stroked engine, 2100 lbs wet weight and a classic Martini paint job. I built the whole thing in my garage including shooting the paint. It ran the race in 2008.

It was rebuilt to run in the Open Class for the 2011 event. The new specification includes a 400 hp all-aluminum V8. Current weight is just under 2400 lbs.
