Does anyone know the top speed of a 2010 6-speed MX-5? Thanks.

The NC model top speed according to Wikipedia:

US Roadster: 196 km/h (121.8 mph)
US Coupe: 200 km/h (124.3 mph)

Europe Roadster: 210 km/h (130 mph)
Europe Coupe: 215 km/h (134 mph)

I don't haven any numbers specifically for 2010 or the 6-speed.

Actually, the US version is the 2.0L, the Euro cars offered both the 1.8L and the 2.0L.

I wonder if those top speeds are electronically limited?

Don't know about the 2010, but my 99 hits the rev limiter at 132.5 and 7200 (changed a chip). Makes a hell of a bang. Also supercharged. I was still accelerating quickly. My son runs a program that he found online. He figures if I could get the gearing correct, the 99 would do about 155 when drag = HP.

132.5 must be pretty exciting... I did that once on the autobahn, but not in a convertible smiling smiley

Top down definitely. Wind noise from it being up is very very loud. The excitement came with the big bang when I hit the rev limiter, thought I had punched a rod out the side. By the way, boss frog roll bars installed. Don't know if I would have tried this unless it was already autocross prepped body wise. Take that back, I would have. US 1 north of Mims, Fl has some largely unused straight stretches of divided 4 lane..

At that speed, a big bang would really wake you up eye popping smiley

So what caused the sound? Unburned gas on the limiter?
