Hello all, Happy New Year!

I have a 2001 NB. In order to use it at track days I need to either get a roll bar or get a hard top.

the NC models have the two roll hoops behind the seats. Do they qualify as a roll bar or do you still need to get a roll bar to use an NC at a track?

My husband and I installed a set of Boss Frog roll bars in my 2001 Miata. Took some time and minor modifications, but they look great and really increased the stabilization of my car.

Hello,

I have a 2004 MSM. I suggest the roll bar. Besides the rollover protection it will help stiffen the chassis. I bought a Boss Frog double hoop from Flyin' Miata. The installation is not difficult, just tedious.

If you are going to track days, I would also buy the neoprene cushions and covers.

Install and enjoy.

Thank you all for your responses. I think I will look into upgrading my car with a roll bar and some suspension and brake upgrades, rather than getting a newer NC.

The Later NC Miatas are ok at SCCA track days. I ran one at Gingerman Racetrack last fall.
